Dr. Dan Hendrickson, MD, FCCP, Medical
Director
Dr. Hendrickson received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of
Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, then continued his residency in Internal
Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio followed
by fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver Colorado. Dan is board certified in
Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Hendrickson
comes to Southwest Idaho Advanced Care Hospital with over 16 years of experience
in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He has also served as an LTACH Medical
Director for three years at Regency Hospital in Odessa, Texas. Dr. Hendrickson
has an extremely broad background including academic medicine and hospice and
palliative care.
Cynthia
Newsome, CCRN,
CPTC, JD, Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Newsome comes to this position with 17 years of critical
care experience as a registered nurse in a neuro-trauma ICU.
After leaving
the ICU, she went on to devote her career to internal organ donation
through Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank in Portland, Oregon.
Working on the "donation" side of internal organ transplant
proved to be both challenging and rewarding. Ms. Newsome recently
graduated from Concord Law School in Los Angeles, California.
As a RN JD, Ms. Newsome offers a unique perspective to Southwest
Idaho
Advanced Care Hospital as well as a commitment to provide excellence
in a new service offered to the Boise community.
Dwayne Newkirk, Human Resources Director
Mr. Newkirk has 25 years of management experience, the past 15
years in Human Resources. Dwayne
holds a BBA with a Human Resources emphasis from Boise State
University and held the SPHR
certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
His previous work history includes being
the City of Boise, Idaho's first Employee Relations Manager and
he was Human Resources Director for
Swift & Company's Beef and Lamb plants in Greeley, CO. Dwayne
also teaches Human Resources as an
adjunct instructor for Boise State University.
Mars P. Patricio, Jr., Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Patricio has nearly 30 years of healthcare management experience,
with an emphasis in the financial
operation of short-term and long-term acute care hospitals. Prior
to Ernest Health, Inc., Mr. Patricio was
connected with the largest for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals
in Southern and Northern Nevada. He
has demonstrated accomplishments in the effective and efficient
management of accounting, finance,
and service departments as well as the planning, coordination,
and implementation of company-wide
projects, policies, and procedures. He was associated with Carlos
J. Valdez & Co., CPA's, the
corresponding firm in the Philippines of Touche Ross & Co.,
CPA's (now known as Deloitte & Touche). He
is a member of the HFMA and a graduate of the University of the
East in Manila, Philippines with a
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration major in Accounting.
